Harden Beck and Goitstock Waterfall.
After a 20-minute drive from Holdsworth House, our team discovered a walk through the Harden Valley to Goitstock Waterfall. Set in Bronte Country, there are woodlands and riverbanks teeming with wildlife.
Start and finish of the walk:
We drove to the village of Harden near Bingley, which took just under 20 minutes from the hotel. From Harden, the walk was signposted from the Malt Pub on the bridge and was 2.5 miles. Harden is quite residential so if you prefer, you can park in Bingley where there are plenty of shops and use the directions from Bingley Train Station, which are easy to follow. Just be mindful that from Bingley the walk becomes a longer trail of around 10.5 miles / 5 hours.
What’s to see?
Harden is a pleasant village but the real treat is when you reach the Goitstock Waterfall. It’s what I call a muddy-boots walk with woodlands, riverbanks, hills and fields to negotiate.

How long does the walk take?
It took us three hours and there were lots of points to stop and stare. I’d imagine the whole walk is an hour if you’re a bit faster than us!
