One wedding a day, and a team that has done this for sixty years
Holdsworth House only ever hosts one wedding a day, however big or small the party. Ceremony, wedding breakfast, evening party and your guests' bedrooms all happen under one roof, and the open day is the easiest way to see how it fits together. Our reputation for service, food and looking after guests is built on more than sixty years of weddings, and our reviews speak for themselves.
Why visit a wedding showcase rather than scroll through photos
If you are looking at wedding venues in Halifax or across West Yorkshire, an open day at Holdsworth House is the quickest way to know whether it feels right. You see the house as it feels on a real wedding day: styled, welcoming and full of atmosphere. You can walk the spaces at your own pace, gather ideas and ask the people who will actually run your wedding anything you like, from menus and timings to dates and prices.
Set in three secluded acres around a Grade II* listed Jacobean manor built in 1633, Holdsworth House works for celebrations of two and for weddings of 120. Whether you are newly engaged or refining the final details, you will leave with a clear picture of what your day here could look like.
We couldn't have asked for a better venue. Every member of staff was friendly, approachable, and genuinely committed to making our day special. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble.
Josh Stanley, Google ReviewsMy son and his new bride held their wedding at Holdsworth House and I cannot imagine a nicer place. Every single member of staff went out of their way with smiles on their faces.
