ABOUT HOLDSWORTH HOUSE
Holdsworth House is an independent hotel, which has been owned by the same family for 60 years. The house was built in 1633 and has a long history as a private manor. The Pearson family bought it in 1962; you can read about the family and how the manor became a hotel on our blog.
Many in our team have worked here a long time, which we feel speaks volumes. Yes, we work hard but we work together and enjoy the flexibility and pace that comes from being an independent business, free from the restraints often found in large, corporate groups.
As well as meeting lots of wonderful guests every day, we're lucky to work amid stunning surroundings. We love turning up to Holdsworth House morning or night; there's really nowhere else like it.
WHAT WE DO
Our motto is Something Special, Somewhere Unique because each day brings new guests, challenges and excitement and because Holdsworth House is seen as somewhere special to visit.
Holdsworth House is popular for leisure breaks, meetings and events such as weddings and parties. Whomever we're welcoming through the door, we offer outstanding customer service – every single time. It's important to us that each experience is memorable, no matter how many times a guest visits.
What We Can Do For You
You don't need a whole heap of experience, but we are looking for special, unique people who hold similar ideals to us. Our teams are knowledgeable, dedicated and confident, and we base our people selection on two key criteria: honesty and trust.
Led by General Manager Chris Meehan (pictured), our department managers are super organisers, hard grafters and fantastic company to be around. Whether you're joining our bustling kitchen team, our friendly housekeeping team or our busy banqueting and events team, you'll receive clear instructions, proper training and the chance to progress your long career at Holdsworth House.
