Most of our packages include the ceremony room, the wedding breakfast, an evening reception with a private bar and DJ, a late-night buffet, a bedroom for the couple (and rooms for your parents in the bigger packages), a dedicated wedding coordinator, a wedding tasting and a special accommodation rate for your guests. Yes, from May to September. The walled gardens at the front of the house seat 120, the Barn Courtyard 120, the Colonnade Courtyard 60, and the 17th century stone gazebo holds ten. No taxis, no logistics: everyone stays together, and you all gather for a cooked breakfast the morning after. We're in Holdsworth, just outside Halifax in West Yorkshire. Despite the secluded, countryside feel, we're easy to reach: about 15 minutes from the M62, 30 minutes from Leeds and Bradford, and around an hour from Manchester and York. There's free on-site parking for your guests, and the nearest train station is Halifax (about 10 minutes by taxi).

For larger weddings or couples who want the entire estate to themselves, we offer exclusive use of Holdsworth House. That means all thirty-two bedrooms, the grounds, the restaurant and all the ceremony spaces, just for you and your guests. You'll walk the estate, see the ceremony and dining spaces, and have a conversation about what you're looking for. A non-refundable deposit secures your date, with the balance due in stages before the wedding. Our wedding team will walk you through the payment schedule; there are no hidden costs and everything is clearly laid out in your contract. If you have questions about specific terms, just ask when you visit. You can also hold a date for up to 14 days before needing to pay the deposit.

We're a dog-friendly hotel, and well-behaved dogs are welcome at your wedding. We have ground-floor bedrooms that work well for guests with dogs, and there's plenty of outdoor space for walks between courses. Just mention it to your wedding coordinator and we'll sort out the details.

If your ceremony is at Holdsworth House we give you a room to get ready in, usually a suite or a private space, for hair, make-up and dressing. Most couples book a suite the night before as well, so the morning is calm and nobody is driving anywhere.

Yes: your own photographer, florist, band or DJ, stylist and cake maker are all welcome, and we have a list of people we have seen do it well if you would like a starting point. The one thing that stays with us is the food and drink, which comes from our own kitchen. Recommended suppliers
