REASONS TO BOOK A WHIRLWIND WEDDING

Not everyone has the luxury of time when planning a wedding. And others just want to crack on with the organisation. It's quite common for a Whirlwind Wedding at Holdsworth House to be planned and delivered to perfection in just a few weeks or months.

When many couples save up for years, here are some of the top reasons we know couples choose a last-minute wedding...

To Mark a Personal Milestone

Life events, such as a house move, a job change or the arrival of a baby might spur you to tie the knot quickly. Such a significant milestone in your life might prompt you to get married sooner than you’d originally thought.

For others, a certain date can have a significant meaning. Often, Holdsworth House has deals available for midweek weddings and off-peak dates, so if that falls on a date that's meaningful to you, it's a win-win.

Family Circumstances

Family dynamics can weigh heavily on the mind when it comes to wedding invitations. If you have friends or relatives you’re desperate to attend but who are restricted by travel dates, a whirlwind wedding might be your answer.

Some couples want to avoid sending save the date notices too far in advance. Perhaps there's a big sporting event guests will favour (we've had weddings postponed because of World Cups). Maybe others have plans to move away. With people's busy lives and changing plans, a whirlwind wedding can mean you're more likely to get everyone there.

Keeping it Low Key

There are plenty of people for whom a big, public wedding isn’t desirable. Lots prefer the intimacy of a small wedding.  In reality, a whirlwind wedding can big as big or as small as you want, you'll have all the help you need from your expert wedding venue to pull it together.

Seizing the Moment!

Life is unpredictable, and you may decide to seize the moment when it feels right. The spontaneity of a whirlwind wedding adds a fabulous layer of excitement and emotional intensity to your day. If you’re spontaneous by nature – or maybe you’ve had a recent epiphany – then you could benefit from a whirlwind wedding.

5 BENEFITS TO A WHIRLWIND WEDDING

Planning a wedding at short notice might seem daunting, but in fact it can make things much easier and lower cost. Here are five reasons to book a whirlwind wedding:

Venues like Holdsworth House, and wedding suppliers from photographers to musicians, often offer discounts for last-minute bookings. It means you can get premium services at a fraction of the price, and you might even get a deal on exclusive use.

Worried about dress fittings and bridal party outfits? Today, many couples now buy pre-loved bridal gowns or designs off the peg. There's also a trend for asking your bridesmaids or groomsmen to wear a specific colour – leaving the style of outfit (and the hunt for it) up to them.

Whilst the popular weekend dates usually sell out, we find more couples are breaking with tradition and choosing a midweek wedding (Sunday to Thursday). Interestingly, wedding guests love the change as it offers a welcome break to the workling week.

For couples whose jobs dictate the need get married on a weekend, Sundays are a great option. Or ask us for available list of available Saturdays – cancellations do come up.
