The Gazebo is the historic stone building in the corner of the Holdsworth House gardens. Built around 1633 as a gatehouse or private chapel, today it is used for small wedding ceremonies and private dining. The Gazebo was restored in the 1990s with funding from English Heritage and has beautiful stencilling to its walls, based on a 17th century design, and exposed beams and rafters. The Gazebo is the UK’s smallest licensed wedding room and makes a unique setting for ceremonies up to 8 guests plus the couple.
