Holdsworth House has always had a great reputation for its restaurant, right back to the heady days of the ’60s when it was known locally as The Cavalier Club and the place to be seen if you were anyone. Today that same reputation for fine food and the best wines still stands, but we know that times have changed. So if you want something more relaxed – perhaps you’re popping out for tea, The Long Bar is the place to come.

Holdsworth’s policy is to buy local and fresh wherever possible so every dish on the brasserie style menu is extra tasty and freshly prepared.  The Long Bar is relaxed and cosy, with big comfy chairs and lovely views onto the courtyard and gardens. It’s perfect for a tasty sandwich, light snack or a delicious seasonal special.  Tandoori chicken, Whitby haddock and chips or a delicious Holdsworth burger are all available in the bar from 12.00am – 9.30pm.
